Something Real Easy on the Ears.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 10:06 pm

I heard this the other night in the car on the way home from work, and I was captivated by it. I’ve never thought much one way or another about Carly Simon, but she sure sings the shit out of this song.

Listen and enjoy.

  1. NOBODY does this song like Frank Sinatra did it with Nelson Riddle arranging and conducting. Nobody. I’m too damn spoiled by Frank’s rendition for anybody to even come close to making me smile and making my toes tap!

  3. I think she should do even more of the songs from that era.

  4. She did a great album called “Torch” back in the day. I played the HELL out of it.

  5. Jimbo, the tune is off her Moonlight Serenade CD along with a host of other standards that will knock your socks off.

  6. Yeah, Sinatra was the King, but this chick keeps getting better and better. James Taylor may be a weenie, but he will die a happy weenie. CaptainSQL gives Carly a standing ovation, sitting down!

  7. The Chairman’s better on the ears (much better), but Carly’s better on the eyes.

    The eye’s have it!

  8. Carly’s Torch album is good (I played “The Blue of Blue” over and over again) and the front cover is excellent. But Frank still wins.
