Memorial Day.

A special day for those of us who were fortunate enough to come home to remember those who didn’t.

May they rest in peace.

  3. Jim:

My utmost respect for you and my utter gratitude to you for fighting for my freedom. I admire you and thank God for you. I do not take your service to our great nation for granted (nor all the other millions of men and women who fought for our freedom). I salute and honor you today.

  4. Lee,

Thank you, but at the height of the Vietnam War I was the recipient of a lucky roll of the cosmic dice. I went where the Army sent me, which was Germany, where I never heard a shot fired in anger. Others were not so lucky.
