Tragedy in Tucson.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 7:25 pm

No snark here today in view of the horrific shootings in Tucson, which resulted in Representative Gabrielle Giffords being critically wounded and the death of several others, including a federal district court judge and a nine-year old child.

My thoughts are with the victims and their families.

  3. The media was calling for more gun control within minutes. Why couldn’t they just show compassion instead?

  4. The shooter needs a speedy trial, a quick conviction (is there really any doubt that he pulled the trigger?), and a prompt execution.

People who commit acts like this – regardless of their motivation or mental condition, which matters not a whit to the people they kill or maim – need to be put down like the mad dogs they are. Compassion is wasted on them, alas.

Tragic, tragic business, this. Seeing the father of that nine-year-old girl on TV broke my heart. My condolences to the families of all the victims.
