Consider This …

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government can not pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. SENATOR BARACK H. OBAMA, MARCH, 2006

Sad. It’s just sad.

  1. Leadership failure is an understatement. We’re about to experience “Social Failure”, hell, we already are. We need to do something, and do it fast. In the meantime, learning to speak Chinese might not be a bad idea. The buck is going to stop in China, and then what happens?

People are confused, but they still pay more attention to American Idol than they do to their own livelihood. Sad state of affairs, to say the least. I find it, particularly a problem, that the people don’t care, or don’t know what’s ahead. Damn, we might all be plowing fields and riding horses before it’s over. We’re moving backwards.

Bottom line: when people believe the government is responsible for them, we’re fucked…and we’re heading in that direction, fast. Most people don’t care about tomorrow…they don’t care what tomorrow will bring, they live in the present, and nobody has ever prospered without thinking ahead. We’re in some really deep shit. If the people continue to take the “wait and see” attitude, it just might be too late. I fear the future will be difficult.

  2. Ijust pray that the “silver tongue” that he wielded so well to get his sorry self elected will convince the American electorate to kick the “royal behind” allthe way to China, since he seems to be so enamored of that country as opposed to our America—-THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE!!!!

  3. Wow… what an eye opener. Never saw that quote before. It would be nice to see someone use that in the upcoming election.

  4. Like that other abomination Clinton Obama lies and takes contradictory positions.Unlike Clinton who had no core beliefs Obama is an ideologue who despises what this country stands for. That’s what he means by transformation. He is a cold, vicious bastard. It is sickening to hear he is likeable.Everything he does hurts the country.

  5. I don’t know what’s sadder: the bozo-in-chief currently wasting oxygen in the Oval Office or the abdication by the lamestream media of their ‘traditional’ role as investigative watchdogs.

    Sheesh – what a bunch of losers…
