Screw Afghanistan.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 10:30 pm

I can’t remember when a news story has aggravated me as much as the shitstorm in Afghanistan over the burning of copies of the Koran. You’ll note that I did not include the seemingly important word “inadvertent” to the describe the burning of the books. I’m sure it was inadvertent, but you know what? I really don’t give a shit whether it was inadvertent or not. American taxpayers bought those books, and I’ll be damned if I know why. You think anyone held captive in an Islamic country is given a Bible, courtesy of the state?

I’ve had Muslims and their goddamned “outrage” over this and that right up to my eyeballs. These illiterate pigs go nuts over the burning of Korans, and the President of the United States sends a groveling apology to Hamid Karzai. Well, that worked out real well. After the apology issued, two American officers were shot in the back of the head.

And now, (at least according to the Afghan National Website), NATO has agreed to publicly try “those responsible” for burning the Korans. So, that means that some GI who had the misfortune of pulling the garbage burning detail will stand trial because some Korans were in the trash? If The One permits such a travesty, he should immediately be impeached. I pity the military men and women who have to serve under this pathetic excuse for the Commander-in-Chief.

And yes, we should get the hell out of Afghanistan right now, and I mean right now. No phased withdrawal. I mean right goddamned now – and leave nothing useful behind. Further, not one dime of aid should find its way to that shithole.

Let them wallow in the seventh century.

  3. Jimbo…..you are right, we did the right thing initially ….we just did not have the sense to leave in a timely manner. good intentions aside, these archaic primitive backward people need several centuries of maturing to come of age & join the civilized world.

These fools remind me of a hillbilly family I know who used to go out as a group every friday night for drinking & fighting. If they could not entice others to get it on,they would simply choose up sides & have their own brawl…..True Story, two of the sisters got into a fistfight in K-Mart, one got KO-ed & ended up in the hospital ,the other in jail. Reason for the fight….the KO victim revealed she was pregnant & her sister was pissed because it was her turn to pumped up.

  4. Honest to gawd, in the beginning I tried to be understanding about the whole “religion of peace” and try to imagine that they couldn’t all possibly hate us, and be all “I’d like to buy the world a fucking Coke” about it.
Now, I agree entirely with you. I can’t really bring myself to even mentally “be nice” about the allegedly Americanized ones here in our country.
It’s a complete imbalance of actions: we burn a book, they behead someone. Quid pro bloody quo? Think not.

  5. I like the way Mostly Cajun put it:

“A pragmatic policy would be to pull ALL Western forces out of the country and maintain satellite surveillance. As soon as the satellites spot buildings over two stories tall, or the electronic signatures indicating telecommunication capabilities, then we ought to bomb them back to the seventh century so enamored of in their religion.”

  6. I agree 100%. We need to get out now, and let ’em have the 7th century. I would take out the poppies on the way out, though.

  7. The last time the savages rampaged over destruction of their filthy book it wasn’t even a true story. Wasn’t it Isikoff at Newsweak that reported the Q’ueerans were flushed down a toilet? IIRC, many died because of misplaced rage worldwide. The Death Cult should receive no more aid from US. It is not compatible with modern human life.

  9. Jim, please don’t get upset with groveling President Ben Dover. It comes from his Muslim heart.

  10. It is so sad that this is our reality (until Iran blows us all up, of course). Really not sure how many more brave, young American lives we need to sacrifice by keeping them in that abysmal hellhole, and for no good reason. You can’t do nation-building or diplomacy with psycho-zealots who aren’t willing to at least try to be civilized. Also sad that our relations with Muslims, on the whole, will likely never get better — only worse — because of these punks. I’m a fan of religion, when it is used as a means to provide comfort, and to help guide followers on a good and straight path in life, morally, and such. If Islam somehow didn’t engender such hatred, terror, and mutilation among the terrorists in its ranks… I’d be cool with it. Not that any religion should even have terrorists in its ranks! I kind of feel as LeeAnn does, in this regard. It sucks that I am consumed with distrust with each Muslim person I see on the street. In my neighborhood there are thousands, and I automatically hate them before I even meet them. If they are good and honest people, it is unfair to both of us, and we only have the Islamofascist dickheads to blame, but I don’t feel like it should be my, or our, responsibility to do anything about it anymore. We did all we could do. Thousands of Americans are dead for trying. I’d say the ball is in their court now, and it has been for a while.

  12. I am in total agreement with you on this. U.S. involvement in Afghanistan serves no purpose at all. It is past time we pulled out!

  13. … I agree completely, man……. and hey, I tried to send you the file that we talked about earlier, but it keeps bouncing back…. “file too large for mailbox”…. not sure what that means, but there you go…
