  1. Sad and scary.It took two weeks for a call from Obama to the Colorado governor . It is likely that it was Bush’s fault .It is not a situation where one wants to make political comment ,but you know the left would have concocted some bogus story and jumped on Bush .The Messiah is very slow to react,and there is not a peep .

  2. These stunning pictures are a function of how close in the fire was. The fire up by Fort Collins is about three times larger, but further up in the hills (still took out about 250 homes). Another ‘small’ fire west of Boulder looked like and atom bomb cloud during the afternoon rush hour. Luckily it mostly stayed behind the Flatirons ( a HUGE rock formation that basically defines the start of the mountains behind Boulder) and hasen’t caused much structural loss. On the Fourth, Denver has a hazy cloud of smoke comming down from Wyoming. The fires are widespread (i’m only mentioning the Front Range blazes that last more than a day or so) and ugly.
