No Hands Clapping.

I attended a funeral mass today (never a happy experience), at which the singer was superb. It’s a bitch that you don’t get to applaud great singing at a mass.

I figure God wouldn’t mind, but what do I know?

  1. I don’t know about the firefighters but 2/3rds of the police dept deserted ship leaving the rest holding the bag, It;s five days they may need a respite, so they go to Atlanta or Los Vegas.

Of course your link IS the New York Times and they are not exactly the world’s best at journalistic accuracy these days for instance

Krugman’s article about how the USS Baatan was setting around in the Gulf doing nothing was not fit to line a cat litter box, you would think he or someone would have thought to check the Ship’s website where there was a detailed account of what they had been doing since they steamed in behid Katrina, but that’s the Grey Lady for you all the new Fit to Print, means they fit the news to suit what they want to print.

I put a little tribute on my blog.to the brave men and women on the New Orleans Police Dept who stayed at their posts when 2 out of every 3 of their members and the City bigwigs scammpered to safety/

  2. My nephew wants to play his guitar and sing a song at his Uncle’s memorial service this Saturday. He is a superb musician and I know whatever he does will be moving. I imagine that all the heavenly angels were applauding, don’t you?

  3. I’m pretty sure the deceased wouldn’t mind, either.
