Hell--- ANYBODY can play guitar like Johnny Cash. You need to know only three chords to do most of his stuff. With five chords, you can do it ALL.

Still, I loved his music.

Harvey,

If it had been the Buddy Rich story, it would be a snap for me, although it would require also being able to look at both his feet as well.

I am, of course, a Renaissance Guy.

"Of course it is possible that the sound I was hearing was someone else playing, but his fingers were in the right place."

How the hell would YOU know? You're a *drum* player! :-D

Thanks, Jim. I've been reluctant to see it, also. Going to have to check it out, soon.

You are right on the money regarding "Walk the Line"... The movie was wonderful and I enjoyed every moment. Although, I do believe Reese Witherspoon was a lot cuter than June Carter... but that's beside the point... Phoenix did Cash justice. I would go and see it again in a heart-beat...

Johnny Cash... was the voice of rebellion that altered the face of music. He was a rebel and an icon that many others and I will never forget....

I have really been wanting to see this, but was waiting for a Cash fan to let me know if it would piss me off.

My recent visit to Memphis Sun Records, was amazing to me not because of Elvis, but because of Mr. Cash..that was the reason I went...

I was not aware of the loss of his sibling until about 2 years ago, and when I found out how...I was horrified...

I liked your "pedestrian" review (first one I've read; last one I'll read) and did not know that they did their own singing, or that Joaquin was playing the guitar. Fascinating! Must see the movie.

Going over Directives and such is cheery, isn't it? "If I haven't moved in, say, 5 days, see if I'm dead or just pausing while posting a comment on PRS."

You done good Jimbo, I heard it was very good. That man that played Johnny has a hair lip, but he did sing and Resse did also. I am with you buddy, I loved the man in black. June once said, all men are pussies when you compare them to Johnny Cash, Cat
