I was here, waiting for a post. It was very quiet. Luckily I had a book with me.

Sounds like it was a DNS problem at your ISP. It happens periodically - the DNS server has a glitch and your computer can't find the web site in the list so it knows where to go.

For instance when I want to surf over here - I can type in www.parkwayreststop.com and the DNS server (without me having to worry about it - will change it to the IP address - YAY for DNS!). But if the server isn't working for some reason... you can't find the page that way. Now if you knew your IP address you could actually type it in to get there.

So if DNS isn't working and I type in
67.15.104.58
I could still visit the blog on the Parkway. But since we can't remember numbers so well - we rely on DNS to help. It sucks when it doesn't work.

I didn't have any problem with the site, but Sitemeter hasn't given any visitor details for more than a day. Bourbon therapy begins at 6pm.
