The Sands.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 9:05 pm

Sands Hotel1.jpgThe famous Sands Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City has closed its doors after 26 years of operation. Over the years, Gloria Estefan, Billy Crystal, Linda Ronstadt and Ole Blue Eyes played there.

So did I.

Of course, we didn’t play in the famous Copa Room, but rather in the Lounge, where winners celebrated and losers (clearly outnumbering the winners) washed away their sorrows.

I oughta write a farookin’ book.

  2. Yeah Jimbo, you should. You have the best stories.

  5. Dude,

As a working musician, I would definitely buy that book if for no other reason than it will be a book of anecdotes and stories by another working musician which means it will probably be funny as hell (we musicians usually have a good sense of humor) and it may carry a few nuggets of wisdom for us guys playing live.
The best part of it will be that it is AC and not Vegas and for that…..your motto while writing this book will be:
“What Happens in AC…turns up on my pages!!!!”

  6. And if you wrote the book, I’d be buying an autographed copy!
