Let’s just take a good look at this picture, shall we? The Colonel and the Sargeant Major are standing there with no cover, hard or otherwise, and just in their BDU shirts. Dingus and company show them how brave they are by showing up in helmet, extra thick body armor etc., and make no attempt to even BEGIN to remove any of it until obviously they were inside. I mean, you can’t even say “Well, they made them wear it on the chopper,” since if that was the case, he could have taken it off and left it with the chopper.

Showing everyone once again the bravery that carried him through all three months of combat in Vietnam and earned him the right to give himself the medals that got him out.

What a putz…and to think he is going to run again, just like the pretty boy he thought would help him get into office.

I can see him sitting by a lamp shade in a damp, dark room writing a brave letter home: I’ve come here to help my fellow man as best I can; to perhaps provide something for them to remember and hold on to, and get them through to the next day or maybe even the next week. But everywhere I look, there is only apathy and averted eyes. These poor souls have been completely ruined with this hideous endeavor we call Operation Iraqi Freedom…..

This would have been a good time to demonstrate how “non-motivated, stupid military-type” gentlemen and ladies are capable of protecting those who cut and run. Instead, they preformed far more brilliantly than any of their civilian counterparts, exercising restraint and the good behavior typical of a saint. I, however, was a paratrooper, and never rose above the rank of Sergeant.
