I get first dibs on Maeve's student techie help. I need to replace the phones here. Luckily, the problem this time was the line OUTSIDE the house, but it's time to move up into the real world and get some cordless jobbies. Good luck, Jim.

That is the beauty of working in a high school (besides screwing with teenager's minds) is that when I need techno help (like the time I locked myself out of my cell phone)I can usually bribe a kid to help me out.

Jim...sometimes you just have to admit defeat and read the instructions. No shame in that...since apparently the amount of tech writing going offshore must be growing exponentially.

I'm still sticking pins in a little voodoo doll I made of the person that drew and wrote the instructions for putting together MajorBaby's Dinosaur playset. I can only guess what they look like...but if I ever hear someone ever make the claim that they designed that toy for Playschool....I'll strangle 'em dead on the spot.

Best of luck with the phones...you can do it!

See you on the high ground...

Is it not as simple as just plugging it in, Jimbo? I find that once one gets past that harrowing first stage (of merely beholding all the intimidating components), all the other stuff sorta falls into place.

But then again, I grew up in a highly technified generation, so all this gadgety stuff might be second nature to me.

Jimbo...free your mind...BE the phone.

As with all techno stuff, in a year's time you'll wonder how the heck you lived without it all this time.

Oh and next time you get a DVD player, I'll send you a picture and name of what you'll need to pick up at radio shack (RF Modulator and some cables) and I'll talk you through the set up. It'll take you all of 10-15 min to set it and that includes opening up the damned packaging in comes in. Believe me it's easy no 13yo needed.
