A New Jersey State Of Mind

Filed under: Uncategorized — Erica @ 6:50 pm

Until the real rabble rousers from Montana break out the big guns, which I have personally been privy to (what the heck are they waiting for? Let’s go fellas!), I thought I’d share South Orange native Zack Braff’s Saturday Night Live monologue for all you New Jerseyans/New Jerseyites (whatever the frack youse call yourselves) out there.

Funny, though…that song sounds awfully familiar.

h/t to The Jersey Side’s John Shabe.

  2. Jimbo,
My old stomping grounds Paramus even got a mention. That was great. Jersey rox!

  3. I thought Florida drivers were nuts, but this Parkway driver is insanity cubed or being chased by deranged clowns or certain green reptiles.

  4. LOVE this! Thanks so much for posting.

And Erica…Great job holding down the fort and for (mostly) keeping the gators away!

  5. If you only knew how difficult it is for me to have a modicum of restraint and behave myself (for the most part) as I have. I don’t generally make a habit of pimpin’ New (ugh) Jersey for just anybody.

Bill…I had seen the video of that about a day or two earlier, and, I must say, it was about one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen. The news said the guy was having seizures earlier that day.

  6. Erica, I did not know the circumstances. I withdraw my hasty, unkind remarks: except for my daily death-run 2007 with Florida drivers.

  7. No worries, Bill. I was just saying I had seen it, but wasn’t making any kind of commentary on it other than saying that that’s what I had heard on the news. You in the clear, bro. When one has spent their life being cut off and side-swiped by Jersey drivers navigating like clowns on crack being chased by gators on speed, it is easy to assume that this guy was just another Jersey driver (which he was), although the circumstances at that point were extenuating.
