Kin ye help this Laddie?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 3:12 pm

At the outset, let me make this clear. I wouldn’t walk from here to the bathroom to see Bon Jovi (Yeah, even though he’s a Jersey Guy). His music doesn’t move me, and his politics make me want to barf.

Having said that, I received the following comment to this 2004 post from a fellow in Scotland named Gary. Seems like a decent lad and his intentions are, as they say, honorable. If anyone out there (especially youse Jersey Peeps) has any information that might be helpful to Gary, please e-mail it directly to him at the address provided in the comment.

Hi there, no one made a comment in a while, so I hope people are still reading this. My girlfriend and myself are going to Bon Jovi’s concert in New Jersey next month. We are travelling from Scotland, we’ve been to a few concerts and they have all been fantastic but to hear him in New Jersey is my girlfriends dream, and to be honest Im looking forward to it. The thing is as this has been one of her life time ambitions and I managed to get tix on net I have decided to propose to her on the trip. Would love to be able to contact Jon himself to say. The song “summer time” off his new album really sums up our relationship and you would think he knew us when he wrote the words. Guess I just would like to say – if anyone has Jon’s address in New Jersey could they email me it please. No hoaxes or time wasters please. Would love to take her to see his house and propose there, or at the concert. But would love to send him a thank you card. Anyone? My email is gquayle_007@hotmail.com Thank you.

Tanks!

Dis I can relate to. I feel exactly the same way about Barbra Streisand, except, sadly, her music DID move me once [she does have a lovely voice], but her politics are so WAY, WAY over the top insane, that the sound of her voice makes my anus pucker. That’s the only way it moves me, now.

I do wish the best of luck to the wee Scaw-ish laddie, and his future lass, but luckily for Bon Jovi, I do not have his address, or else his house help would be spending the better part of the week removing toilet paper from his front tree.

  2. His best chance might be by contacting the PR people at the Philadelphia Soul or a local news station. OR WPST 94.5–they have always had a good working relationship with Jon Bon Jovi…since the beginning of the band.

    Just my idears.

  3. His best bet would be to contact his management company. He could also try a Bon Jovi messageboard (sometimes the artists monitor them). I know on The Rising Tour, Bruce saw a dedication request from a man who lost his wife to cancer a few weeks before the show and asked if anyone knew how to get a hold of Bruce and ask him to play “Bobby Jean”. Supposedly Bruce saw this and at Lincoln Financial Field in Philly, Bruce played the request and made for a special evening for this man and us fans alike.
Now, as for aiding and abetting stalking….I wouldn’t give out Jon’s address because one, the guy deserves his privacy and 2. If this bloke were to propose to his lady on Jon’s road, he is more than likely to get run over because it can be that busy.

  4. He lives in Middletown NJ 07748 on the Navesink River (where he hosted a party for 3000 of Al Gore’s closest friend a few years ago). I am sure if you just address it to him in Middletwon, NJ 07748-it will at least get to his box.

  5. Unfortunately Jon Bon Jovi also has an Erie Pa connection , his momma was born here & he lived here for a while as a youngster…even had a homecoming concert.Fortunately he left town after the concert was over.

    As for helping the
wee laddie from Scotland with Jon Bon Jovie….. the best advive I can give him is listen to the Kettle whistle when he boils water for his cuppa tea, better tone, song content & at least you will get some real enjoyment from it.
