"From down here in Burlington County, the concept of Perth Amboy not being Nawth Joisey boggles the mind".

Actually, people from Burlington COUNTY being part of New Jersey BOGGLES the mind! ;-) Actually, Fords (where I grew up) and Perth Amboy is considered Central Jersey. Newark, to us, was already North Jersey. And Jersey City? A different country! Once past Monmouth County, one was headed into South Jersey territory. See? :-)

Happy Halloweeeeeeeeen?!? Nah, never heard it. Grew up in the Perth Amboy area in the 50's/60's and ALWAYS used the traditional "Trick or Treat" call. Must be youse guyz from Nawth Joisey. In the mid 50's, after the Parkway came through our area, lots of Nawth Joisey people moved in with their strange accents and customs. ;-)

I'm from Franklin Lakes & Oakland in Bergen County. I grew up taking part in Halloween every year.

Never did I hear the term "Anything For Halloweeeeeen!"

Twas always the standard - "Trick or Treat!"

In any case, man, when I was a kid I LOVED going around to get free candy from people! Some friends and I would often start as early as possible, sometimes having to stop at home before darkness so we could dump our treasure and have more room in the bag for the rest of the night! The more the better! begging? No way! And my impression is that most people enjoyed the silly "holiday" -- just something fun.

Eventually I grew out of costumes. Adults who wear them now -- hey, if it's not hurting anyone and they have fun, I ain't gonna think any less of 'em. And if I had kids I *might* dress up, too. Surely I'd embrace the day as much as they wanted... I mean, so long as they didn't want to sacrifice humans at the stake or anything. Goats maybe.

See ya.

You wearing a dress?? A Hairgirl instead of Hairboy? So much Photoshopping fodder, you give me. I'll get to work on that one right away, if not to post and mortify the shit out of you, then just to satisfy my own perverted curiosity.
