Sample Ballot.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 8:36 pm

Yes, my sample ballot arrived in the mail today. I looked it over and planned most of my voting strategy (I shall read the public questions more closely tomorrow). As promised and as advocated, I will vote against any incumbent, which, in my district, means that I will vote for Republicans. I will take particular joy (albeit fleeting and sadly futile) in voting against that cadaverous shithook Senator Frank Lautenberg, who belongs in a nursing home smelling of piss and bitching about the temperature of his farina.

There is, however, one problem, and that is that I cannot vote against my Waste-of-Air Congressman, because he is again running unopposed. His constituency largely depends on his continued service for their daily bread, and his constituency is big thanks to the Gerrymandering that was engineered by the rat bastards of BOTH PARTIES in this asshole state with the goal of making congressional seats safe.

Of course, I will be voting for McCain/Palin, which in New Jersey is about the equivalent of pissing directly into a gale force wind, but I will be secure in the knowledge that I canceled out Bruce Springsteen’s vote.

  1. Hey Jimbo, your readership is larger than mine, and I’d never presume to post a lame link in your comments. However, I think this merits much more attention than it’s getting.

Obama’s speech writer jumps off the sinking ship.

Her timing is much quicker than Mr. Malone. And it has hurt her financially.

  2. Before I jump over to Joan’s place to read her post…

I have to say that the greatest satisfaction I have EVER had in voting was last election when I was able (for the first time in my life) to vote AGAINST Teddy Kennedy. It did no good at all, but oh man did it make me happy. LOL.

Our Congress critter is the same up here – a Dem with zero competition. *sigh* At least in Illinois, they had an opponent on every ballot. Geeze. It sucks having a one party system.

  3. Good for you voting out the scoundrels! Can’t believe the half-dead Lout could still be in the Senate. How many Dems are on life support?
I had the pleasure of early voting yesterday here in NC. It had a therapeutic effect on me. Feel strangely at peace, knowing that I have done what I needed to do. No lines-out in 10 minutes, though all the booths were always filled. Anyone from a state that can early vote should do so, IMHO. My district is heavily Republican and there had been a good, steady, surprisingly high turnout over the last week. Just say NOBAMA!

    That’s what a write-in Vote is for.

Pick someone from this list New Jersey Famous People

    How about someone dead?

I mean if the Democrats can vote the deceased, why not vote FOR the deceased?

    Zombie Rights!

  5. I read the post at the link Joanie left. Wow. Thanks.

Also, I agree with commenter Dan Kaufmann, zombie rights are important and the only group actively defending them is ACORN.

(Heh. That’s supposed to be a joke.)

  6. I won’t vote early here as 1) the wait is 2 hours and 2) the lines are crazy full of Obama supporters and 3) I don’t trust Florida/PB County to get the early voting right.

I think that if I were Teresa, that would be on my list of top 100 things to do before I die… vote against Ted Kennedy.

I am voting against all incumbents as well. One of the incumbents, (dorkface Mahoney), has made national news for the scumbag he is. I love living in Florida… Scumbags to the left of me, scumbags to the right of me, here I am, stuck in the middle.

However, when our Senator Nelson (D) is up for reelection, I am voting FOR him and must write him a letter as he’s one of the few that voted AGAINST that bail out. I think he needs to be rewarded for that while Martinez (R) needs to f***ing rot…

  8. Hey, Jimbo:

Since ACORN probably has Bruce registered in oh, 8 or 20 states (unbeknownst to Bruce), yer vote is only worth a small part of his.

  9. Hell, Jimbo…here’s your chance to get into politics! Play that guitar on the campaign trail like that ‘guvner’ of La did years ago..promise a chocolate vodka
in every cup and that you will clear the New Josiey swamps of alligators and ban chain saws! You might even WIN!

  10. brucie springstring sucks. SUCKS, I tell you. For the life of me I CANNOT understand why is the star that he is. When he sings, he sounds like he trying to work a major dump…or he’s ready to give himself a massive hernia (michael bolton, too). And his politics are nuts. Then, there’s his ego. He blathers on about his politics…like anyone even gives a flip and then he volunteers his “talents” to raise awareness of the vote and the necessity of voting leftist dimocraps into office. What a putz and a nothing. Can’t wait to see him fade. streisap too. saranwrap too. Jeez, I could go on. I.am.sick.of.all.of.them!

  11. What do you expect from an entertainer?

I mean, I love music, but face it. When it comes to musicians, the elevator is one six-pack short of a picnic.

  12. GUYK —

Me run? No way. I’d get slaughtered in the vetting process. 🙂
