Presidential Match Test.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 1:54 pm

Like others, including Cousin Jack (an Edwards guy), I took the Presidential Match Test. It purports to match one’s position on issues to the positions of the various candidates on the same issues. One can limit the results to one party (presumably this option is for the folks who would vote for Satan over President Bush), or one can see the results for both parties, which means at this stage of the game, including President Bush in the results. Third party candidates will be added later.

Here are my results:

Bush – 100%
Edwards – 69%
Kerry – 64%
Clark – 63%
Dean – 55%
Sharpton – 42%
Kuchinich – 41%

The results didn’t surprise me, with the exception of those for Sharpton and Kuchinich. I believe that I might be able to agree with those two guys on the time of day, but that’s about it.

  1. This was quite a fun little test. My results are as follows:

    Bush: 100%

    Edwards: 41%

    Kerry: 37%

    Dean: 33%

    Clark: 33%

    Sharpton: 22%

    Kucinich: 22%

I am assuming that I had such a strong conservative score that the program automatically matched me with Bush; I personally find him far too liberal for my tastes. Embracing every liberal issue to steal liberal voters from the Dems isn’t the best of plans in my opinion. I am curious to see with whom I am matched after the primary season is over.

  2. I did it before Lieberman dropped out, so I scored 100% for Bush, but Joe was a close 2nd. So close it had me wondering…. 😉

  5. Makes sense kind of, but not totally. Bush is a tad more liberal than me, and Kerry is way out there on the crazy lib scale.

    Bush – 100%

    Kerry – 46%

    Edwards – 45%

    Dean – 40%

    Sharpton – 34%

    Kucinich – 29%
