Satisfied Customer.

I installed the Google Toolbar (which means that the installation is really, really easy), and so far the score is:

Google toolbar: 41
Pop-ups: 0

It’s great. You can actually see the pop-ups being zapped. Sort of like watching bugs fly into a zapper.

Oh, and it is indeed very handy when in the middle of writing something, you want to do a quick search. It is right there, and you can set it to open a new window for the search.

I’m doing a little happy dance now (not a pretty picture).

  1. I absolutely love the thing, and can’t remember what net life was like without it.

    Yep, short memory. 😉

  2. First the button. Now the Google Toolbar. Next thing you know, you’re nesting arrays within objects, making AnandTech your homepage, and writing articles for SlashDot. Sure, you say it will never get to that. We’ll see. 😉

  3. I can identify with your pain, and am doin’ the happy dance here in Tampa right along with you. Oops, sorry I’ll stop trying to lead. 🙂

    Good For You!!!

  4. There’s few things more satisfying than watching the number of blocked popups increment on your Google toolbar.

One of the things I missed most when I switched to Firefox was the Google toolbar. Yes, it has a built-in Google search, but it just isn’t the same.

  5. See? What did I tell you? Now I want to see photos of the happy dance….maybe a short video.

    Heh.

  6. I love Google Toolbar, I never look at the pop up blocker anymore, I’ve had mine simply forever. And there is nothing better than being able to type and search right there!
