Message from New Orleans.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 8:28 pm

Just got off the phone with this lady, this guy and this guy. They called me from a saloon/restaurant in the French Quarter as they were having cocktails and were about to sit down to dinner. They arrived early for a bit of a head start on the blogmeet. Tomorrow, they are supposed to be joined by V-Man and his bro (I figure his “bro” is probably really his probation officer), Key, Kelley, and Zonker.

I was really negged out when I heard that today it may have been a couple degrees cooler in New Orleans than it was in New Jersey!

I hope they have a pisser, and, knowing the gang, I trust that they will.

A group of British teachers has proposed the following:

The word “fail” should be banned from use in British classrooms and replaced with the phrase “deferred success” to avoid demoralizing pupils… .

I suppose, then, we should say that the terrorist attacks in London today that didn’t produce the death and destruction of those of last week were not “failures,” but rather “deferred successes”.

Excuse my while I hurl.
