Winter, Snow, Ice and Oy!

It’s just a matter of time … blecch. Glad I don’t have to drive to work. Even better, I don’t have to work!

Thanks to Catfish for the video.

  1. That is a terrible reminder. I forgot to tell you the other night that my future daughter in law from California HATES everything about NJ and driving looms large in that opinion. If she sees this, it’s curtains.

Bite me… I’ll be thinking of you when I’m going sideways on 295…

  3. Don’t have to work? Another 4 years of Obama will take care of that little “problem”. Presuming you can find the medical care to make it that far – –

  5. I saw a guy drive a bit over a full city block Wednesday with his parking brake full on. He didn’t wreck and he got where he wanted to go. All this on a rather steep and busy 4-lane road.

It was like an advertisement for buying a front wheel drive car and putting chains on it. Then you can be a complete idiot and the car goes where you want to.

  6. A few years back, my husband called to ask for a pickup from work. Since he drove that day I wondered why he needed a ride but didn’t get a straight answer. We’d had a sleet/ice storm the previous night. On the way I stopped at the local newstand. There, looking up at me, was the afternoon Cincinnati Post. Lo and behold, there was husband’s Olds 98 half submerged in the Ohio River. A front page, full color, above the fold, 5×7 photo. Serves him right for trying to avoid paying to park. Cost him almost $200 to get it out of impound lot.

  7. Unfortunately, I live in Chicago and this is a way of life. Why I ever left Texas is beyond me!
