The following are three pictures taken from the USS Honolulu, a Los Angeles Class, Fast Attack Submarine. The pictures reportedly were taken approximately 280 miles from the North Pole.

The boat received visitors:

Very cool.

Thanks to my friend and bodyguard, Ken, for the pics.

  5. When I worked on a drill ship in the Arctic Ocean a polar bear would swim out to the ship at night and play with the buoys like they were big beach balls.

    Very cool pics.

  6. Wildlife meets technology

Three wonderful photos from the USS Honolulu (one of our L.A. Class Boomers) as she is up near the North Pole. She gets some visitors: Hat tip to Parkway Rest Stop – visit there for the full-size images….

  7. “You kids leave that thing alone! How many times do I have to tell ya…stop messing with the big things that are just sitting there! You have no idea where those things have been!”

All animals are curious, and will play. Way cool pics and I would love to have been the photog!
