Sandy Who?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 11:13 pm

You remember Sandy Berger? Just in case you don’t, he was Bill Clinton’s National Security Advisor and former advisor to the John Kerry campaign.

You remember why he made it into the news a while back? Just in case you don’t, he is the guy who was caught spiriting classified documents and handwritten notes (stuffed in his pants) from a highly restricted section of the National Archives prior to the 9/11 political circus hearings.

Mr. Burger, who had claimed that stuffing handwritten notes down his pants and removing highly classified documents from a secure area was an “honest mistake,” will be pleading guilty to a “misdemeanor.”

Yes, I said, “misdemeanor.” Just a little Washington “oopsie,” I suppose.

  1. Thankee kindly, sir, for the link. Now he’ll pay a little fine and be on his merry way to the lecture circuit I suppose.

I loved the way CNN suggested that the timing of the release of this story was a political ploy. I’m like, dudes. We’d been talking about this for a month or more before the MSM ever picked it up. It would’ve never seen the light of day if not for bloggers.

  2. I find a layer of secret documents often relieve the chaffing that occurs on my ankles and groinal areas. As for destroying the documents later, well, who would want them back from where they’ve been?

  3. At least when Madame Hillary was pilfering papers from Vince Foster’s office before he was even cold, she walked out with the papers in her hand, not rolled up in her socks…. she was acting like a real man.
