Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 8:12 pm

Here are some examples of daughter TJ singing, thereby reminding the old man that he’s just a saloon singer.

Give it a listen.

  4. Wow, FWIW, that sounds to me like a beautiful smooth voice. Hell, over the ‘net on some Beta-ware on my expensive cheap-ass speakers and TJ’s self-described crummy mike? It sounded very good. I listened to all the songs and was thrilled to find them NOT your typical high-pitched-chick warbly crap that everyone seems to be imitating on, say, American Idol these days. You know that voice I mean? Where every other note is a trill? Kinda like what Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey have done to death? Gag.

Oh and um, Hello, Dad? TJ said she could maybe use a NEW MICROPHONE and, um, President’s Day IS coming up on February 19th. Heh.

    Signed,
    Friendly Neighborhood Troublemaker

  6. TJ and Jim both rock. I was lucky enough to get the chance to hear them at Da Post and they are a couple of swinging cats.

  12. (Blushing furiously.)

Online karoke has that way of making someone feel both vulnerable and wildly self-centered all at the same time.

Many thanks for giving it a listen and for sharing your very kind words. Methinks I should keep my day job. 😉

Nevertheless, I’m always up for a duet with dad anytime! Hey, I’ll even spring for the $3 microphone…and a couple of beers. Better yet: Austin road trip, anyone?

Again…thanks for posting — and for listening!
