My What?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 7:01 pm

I found this over at RSM’s place. Of course, the question posed (“Where should your Inner New Yorker live?”) presumes that legions of people harbor an “Inner New Yorker.” I know for shit sure that I don’t have an Inner New Yorker, because I have no desire to live anywhere in New York City, especially in one of the four lesser boroughs (the ones that are not Manhattan — this, of course, includes the borough that the Wiseass Jooette calls home).

But I took the little quiz for shits and giggles, and here’s what it showed.

You Belong in Soho

Although you may not be a professional artist, you do dabble in one form of art or another.
And you indie culture of all kinds – from little botiques to art house films.

I immediately knew it was a quality test when it confirmed that I “indie” culture of all kinds, including “botiques”. For the record, I also “indie” pizzo and penut butter, and long wolks on the beech, but I do not “indie” alligatars, clownz and krabs.

  1. Listen, bub.

Coney Island kicks Seaside Heights’ Tomato Plant-Growing Ass any day of the week. PLUS, youse are always sending your nasty sewage pongs across the Narrows and stinking up the Belt Parkway.

I just want to know one thing: WTF have I ever done to you to merit this unwarranted cruelty and flat-out truculence? All I ever wanted was your friendship.

I’ll just have to look elsewhere.

  3. Brooklyn?….Brooklyn?….What the……

When I was 14 I said I liked the Dodgers more then the Yankees or Giants……little did I know I was doomed for life. No wonder in my travels through JFK terminal to world destinations & back home to Western Pennsylvania were there so many knowing smiles, once identified with Brooklyn even if by proxy it shows.

  4. Mine: “You Belong in the Upper East Side.
You’re an aspiring blue blood, and you want the best of New York high society. And while some may think you’re conservative, you still appreciate good art and culture.”

I think it was the preference for “posh restaurants”.

  7. Enlighten-New Jersey – I got the same thing… I’m positive it was the “posh restaurants” that did it. Who knew that wanting to eat in nice places would make one an aspiring blue blood! Heh.

  9. I got the East Village.

PS: Jim, I also indie culture, but I’m not all that enameled of botiques.
