How Do You Say “Chutzpah” in Spanish?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 1:23 pm

I don’t know how I missed this.

In January a delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora, Mexico came to Tucson to register their complaints about the passage of Arizona’s new law that sanctions employers who knowingly hire undocumented workers ILLEGAL aliens. As a result, many illegal aliens are returning to Sonora, which the Mexican legislators say is having a “devastating effect” on their state.

“How can they pass a law like this?” asked Mexican Rep. Leticia Amparano Gamez, who represents Nogales.

“There is not one person living in Sonora who does not have a friend or relative working in Arizona,” she said in Spanish.

“Mexico is not prepared for this, for the tremendous problems” it will face as more and more Mexicans working in Arizona and sending money to their families return to hometowns in Sonora without jobs, she said.

Let me guess, Señora Amparano Gamez. Is this influx of uneducated, unskilled people into your state taxing its resources, oh, like schools, hospitals and maybe even its prisons? You would like to send them back to where they came from? Your problem is that they are back to where they came from.

The people of Arizona have been dealing with this. Now it’s your turn.

Thanks to Brian, the Air Force Vet.

  1. Arizona is on the right track on this one. More states and even the federal government should follow Arizona’s lead. I say Bravo Arizona!

I figure the southern border has acted as a pressure relief value for Mexico long enough. Maybe if those who have worked and lived in the USA are forced back to Mexico they will demand a better life in Mexico. If in fact revolutions are cause mostly by unfulfilled expectations then maybe by forcing the illegals back to Mexico we can take credit for a revolution in Mexico…otherwise within a few years we will have the same conditions as Mexico..and the Canadians will be trying to force the illegal immigrant from the USA to go home.

The second best scenario is to settle the war with the ragheads and invade Mexico once again…except this time after we take it just keep it…send some New Jersey and Florida politicians down there to run it…they would fit right in…

  5. They haven’t got a clue as to what responsible leadership is, have they. Sonora is obviously broken. Rather than whine and cry about the folks having to leave home to find work, why aren’t they doing something to encourage them to stay home and build a working Sonora? Buncha jerks!

  8. Amen!

Unfortunately the Employer Sanction Law is heading to the 9th Circuit Court of Appease this year. You might recall they are based in San Francisco and are know to be so liberal that many believe the judges are hell spawn from another dimension as they have no grasp of reality.

I expect it will be overturned.
