Outage Explanation.
Contrary to the obnoxious and frankly libelous “Account Suspended” screen put up by the hosting service, which would lead a reasonable person to believe that the hosting service’s ball wasn’t paid, the account was “suspended” without notice because a video I posted went viral. It didn’t go viral overnight. They had ample opportunity to provide notice of an impending problem.
We’re dealing with it. Details at eleven.

Whew – missed ya, even if you were managing to twitter. I know these hosting services have one single notice page they put up when there’s a problem. It always says it has to do with “money”…. thus implying that they haven’t been paid. *sigh*

For some reason, I’m getting about 20 hits a day off of that post for the last 3 weeks, which is bizarre since it neither references my site, nor did I comment on it.
The only thing I can figure is that the viral types are showing up, watching the video, then running down your blogroll looking for a suitable exit portal, and “Baboon Pirates” is a weird enough name to get the traffic.

I’m with El Capitain. Same thing happened to me… I kept getting hits off that and couldn’t figure out why. I hadn’t even commented on it.
