Serenity moved on her own from Washington state to Texas to make a go of things. After a period of frustrating unemployment, she managed to find a job – a hard job (one that requires her to be on her feet all the time). She has been saving virtually all her money to be able to finish college.

Well, Life 101 just dealt her a horrible hand. She fell and broke her ankle in three places, which (based on my experience with a similar injury) will keep her off her feet for about eight weeks, and even after that, pain-free walking takes time. To make matters worse, this happened just a few days before her insurance was to kick in.

She’s a wonderful writer and a hardworking, decent person who could use a bit of help right about now.

At approximately 7:30 a.m., Eastern Time, someone, apparently from Texas, having been sent here via The Patriette, popped in and thereby became the 50,000th visitor to this tiny corner of the blogosphere. I will never cease to be amazed and flattered beyond description to see that people are willing to give up a couple valuable minutes of their time to read what tumbles forth on these “pages.”

SuperG is back to blogging, which is good news. Today’s topic: Lyndon LaRouche, the eternal wackadoo presidential candidate.

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of spending time with the author, a very interesting and engaging guy, who had just recently returned from a cross-country trip that included several interesting stops along the way. Lots of blog fodder there, methinks.
