  1. I am so proud of the New Jersey voters that elected him. Let us hope this is a wave of the future across America.

  2. Let me be among the first to offer my congratulations. Amen to what Brian “Proud to be a Veteran” says.

  3. Yes!!

Of course, the state is a financial basket case, so I think Christie will wake up tomorrow morning and say to himself “What kind of mess did I step into??”

  4. I am glad but I am absolutely shocked! Honestly, I woke up today in our fair state of Colorado and the first thought that crossed my mind – even before I hit the snooze on my alarm clock – was that the asshole, corzine and his crooked dimocrap cronies were going to steal the election in NJ!

Here’s hoping that he governs responsibly!

  5. Re: Erica’s (a/k/a the Wiseass Jooette’s) congratulations (comment no. 2).

If Christie had that hair, he would have won by 25 points.

  7. He may wake up to wonder about the tiger’s tail in his hand, but let’s assume he won’t gas on about how unfair it all is, how he’s having to mop up someone else’s mess, etc.

  8. Today is a great day for all of NJ’s taxpayers. Today is the day that NJ becomes a model of conservative government. Democrats are now on notice…get in line or get out of the way.
    Nj’s voters have said ENOUGH!!!!!
As much as I want to tag this win on the failed policies of the failed Barack Obama Administration, I think NJ’s win was more a referendum on the failed policies of Jon “I never met a tax I didn’t like” Corzine.
Wednesday November 4th….the first day of liberation for NJ’s weary taxpayers.

Message to Governor Christie…..do not fail us, do not let let us down or your re-election campaign 4 years from now will be as rough for you as this one was for Corzine. Do as you promised, keep to your conservative principles and you will leave office 8 years from now remembered as the governor who made conservatism the leading political ideology in NJ.

Congrats on the win Chris. We have your back, we will help you lower taxes and root out corruption.

  9. Jimbo, I am so happy for youse guys. Even the idiots up there must have come to briefly, it appears. I was sending them mental electric shocks. No thanks necessary.

  10. Good news for sure. The Dems also got spanked pretty good in VA…good news for sure.

  12. He is still Democrat Lite like Whitman.

  13. I’m hearing it, but I still can’t believe it. Must be the painkillers from my “Day At The Dentist” yesterday.
I keep hearing Corzine singing “Can I Be Your Neighbor” as he moves next door to Erica. Brooklyn should be his next stop. 😉 Don’t let the door hit ya, Johnny.

  14. Jimbo – WTF happened? Couldn’t the Dims find enough dead voters?

    Comment by Denny — November 4, 2009 @ 1:55 pm

  15. Okay E’s contribution cracked me up. I think you’re right Jimbo – if Christie had your farookin’ great hair, it would’ve been a landslide win for him.

  16. Joseph,

He may be Democrat Lite but that is a whole lot better than Corzine who is Democrat Heavy. Baby steps, baby steps. Start small and work your way up.

  17. JerseyJerry, please…shhhhhhh…we have our own problems. Besides, Corzine wouldn’t last a day living next to me. I’d risk a lengthy jail sentence just to crack his shins.

    🙂

  20. For the first time in my life I am proud to say I am from NJ. Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm

  21. Politicians are like diapers; you have to change them regularly or they start stinking.

  22. I think we may have made a mistake by electing Christie. We have completely forgotten to find out if the Europeans will approve or if our reputation may be damaged thereby sending Obama to scamper over to some European city to apologize for our actions.

We also need to keep a REALLY close eye on this lame duck session to make sure no shenanigans occur as this dooshbag hits the exit door.
