Ya Gotta Love Weird Al Yankovic.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 8:00 pm

Peeps who spend a good deal of time online should get a kick out of this. I do, and I did.

It’s all lighthearted, but if you’re a person who simply clicks “forward” and lets it rip to your buddies, you should pay special attention to the line about using “BCC” and the consequences of failing to do so. I’ve received forwarded e-mails that contain hundreds of e-mail addresses, often including the name of the originator of the e-mail, his employer and work phone number. I doubt that the sender realized that that type of information would be seen by hundreds of people (and perhaps even his employer). Using BCC (blind copy) is easy. If you don’t know how to do it, ask someone.

Enjoy.

  1. Brilliant!

I keep meaning to go see Weird Al at the Count Basie; he plays there every year.

  2. Saw this earlier. Loved it.

I see a lot of ignorance of BCC in my day job. It frankly puzzles me.
