Uno, or Not to Uno?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 5:43 pm

One of the wisest things I’ve done to extend my walking-around time on the planet was to let my motorcycle license lapse. As such, I won’t be buying a one-wheeled motorcycle.

One-wheeled motorcycle? It seems nuts, but, after watching the video, I think I would feel safer riding around on one wheel than I would feel traveling about on one of these.

Thanks to my buddy Brian, the Air Force Vet.

  1. As long as there are so many women drivers ,I would not drive a one wheeler .I am not saying all women drivers are bad ,but many especially recent arrivals from places such as Korea and India should be confined to a Big Wheel and the playground not a highway .It is hard to see how they pass the driving test .

  2. A few thoughts:

1- That guy looks exactly like what I thought you looked like before I ever saw a photo of you. In my mind I imagined you resembling Mark Harmon… who that guy kind of resembles.

2- When I first saw that this thing originated in Portlandia, I rolled my eyes and thought: “Figures. They’re all friggin’ weirdos there.” I have to say, though… the guy seems quite sane and I respect his ingenuity, to the extent that, should such a vehicle ever hit the market at a price I could very well afford, I’d definitely get one.

3- You really should go to Portland sometime. What a fabulous city, with so many incredible restaurants. And I saw a Bojack.org bumper sticker on the back of a car while I was there! But you already know that…

  3. Jimbo…
One Wheeled motorcycle…..No, do not think so but a two wheel trials or trail bike to use in the Allegheny Mountains trails where allowed …Hell Yes!
I no longer own a motorcycle but keep my Motorcycle license current cause you never know when a bargain will appear.
My best friend & I both had Yamaha 250 enduros which we kept street legal so we could travel on any Mountain dirt road open to motor vehicle travel. We each paid $735.00 brand new for them back in 1975.
I have a great nostalgia for that bike & had many years of fun & enjoyment traveling in the wilderness but sold it when my son & heir became a teenager.
He is grown up & married so I keep my options open.
