Florida Sunset2

Yes, sports fans. It’s again that time of the year when the Usual Suspects assault Southwest Florida. As in the past, there will be many cocktails, lots of laughs and a constant gator watch.

Play nice while I’m gone.

  3. My Mom, who is visiting, and I saw a couple kids in Publix today, fishing poles in hand. My Mom said, “Catch anything?” and the group of boys, probably aged 9-12, said, “yeah. We caught some bass. And a gator…” and then a kid reached in his pocket and said, “And a citation”. And then another kid reached in his pocket and said, “Me too…” We don’t know if they got the citation for fishing without a license or for catching a gator. We were laughing too hard about how they presented us with their citations. Not so sure their Moms and Dads will think it is so funny…

  4. Maybe a gator will get Debbie Wasserman Schultz the Jewish Nancy Pelosi . If so , please get it on video . I’m curious whether the gator can survive after a meal like that .

  5. Heck with the gators. Watch out for the pythons. If they can swallow a small deer whole – – may your hair protect you, Jimbo!

  7. Jimbo …Have a great down in the Cuban province of Florida, just kidding….there is a ton of Bolivians & Columbians there as well.
Anyway…..when you get back home Google up a program called Wild Justice. They had a program on recently about California Game Wardens responding to a sighting of a man with known hostility to law enforcement camped out next to a raging river with an alligator tied up to a tree next to his camper.
Obviously alligators are not known in California & are illegal to have as pets.Given the mans known hostility additional wardens were called in to assist in the confrontation.
After surrounding the mans campsight & maintaining a watch, one of the officers had to crawl through the grass, trees & bushes to get a visual on the alligator in case the suspected bad guy tried to release the critter into the river when they rushed him .
After a lengthy period of time the warden got a visual along with camera footage of the beast which was about 8 feet long with a huge rope around its neck , tied to a tree & basking in the sun.
The rush was now on & they converged onto the unsuspecting dude only to find the alligator was made of rubber & not a live one.
The dude turned out to be quite friendly & when asked …why do you have a rubber alligator as your pet? His answer was …well, you do not have to feed it!
A lot of people would suspect this was a contrived & fake program but I do not think so.
I think I told you I served as a Deputy Conservation Officer here in Pennsylvania for 7 years….believe you me, I have been witness to some really strange behavior & incidents. You do not have to make up shit…reality serves the purpose quite well.
