Sort of a “Hot August Night”.

Tonight I’ll be going here to hear this guy in concert.

I don’t expect a crush of “twenty-somethings,” or even too many “thirty-somethings,” for that matter.

  3. Just you wait. I can’t tell you how many of us 20 and 30 somethings LOVE Neil Diamond because we were raised on his music. My MIL is an ex-groupie…..

  4. Mom used to play ND on the AR turntable with the Jensen speakers and the Scott tube amp that my father built. We’d dance on the hardwood floors to every tune that he recorded on Bang! records.

  5. I saw Neil in my hippie dippy days, 1967 in Atlanta GA.

  6. WTF?? You’re attending a Democratic fund raiser?

re: John Kerry Victory 2004 Concert

“The much-heralded highlight was the reunion duet of Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond, “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers,” which they had not performed together since Jimmy Carter was in the White House. Ms. Streisand crooned at center stage, where a stool, table, vase with red roses, teapot and cup had been placed for her performance, while Mr. Diamond sang from remote stage right, walking into the spotlight only for the final chorus, and the tender kiss the two shared afterwards.”

Try not to think about it. It doesn’t seem anything like pink mist to me. I hope Babs is a no-show for your sake. We wouldn’t have the cash for your bail.
