Knock, Knock.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 7:23 pm

It is hardly a secret that I am scared shitless of alligators. With that in mind, kindly head over to Tammi’s Place and follow the link that she suggested I NOT follow (Of course, she knew with metaphysical certainty that I would click away on the link).

The “incident” Tammi refers to took place just down the road from the place where the Usual Suspects always “do” Florida in May.

  1. When the Missus and I bought our first home in FL, it had a beautiful heated pool and the property backed up to a river. Third week there and we hada six footer in the pool.

Cost me a lot of money to fence off that yard!

  2. I hear you knocking, but you can’t come in.

I’m so glad all we have to worry about here is raccoons with distemper….and the occasional rabid skunk.

  3. I am about alligators the same as I am snakes–I am not afraid of them but I give them lots of room. I have fished in the small creeks and streams that were loaded with them and never had a problem except once in a while one would get pissed and swallow a fishing lure and the fight would be on until I could break off-which takes about two seconds. ABout the only time a gater is dangerous is during the rut when the big males will wander from water hole to water hole looking to get laid..kind of like some crackers I know.
