An Open Letter.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 8:52 pm

Dear Mrs. Clinton:

I noticed that you campaign has recently hired Sandy Berger as a foreign policy advisor. I’m sure that you are aware that, three years ago:

… while acting as former President Clinton’s designated representative to the commission investigating the attacks of September 11, 2001, [Sandy Berger] illegally took confidential documents from the Archives on more than one occasion. He folded documents in his clothes, snuck them out of the Archives building, and stashed them under a construction trailer nearby until he could return, retrieve them, and later cut them up. After he was caught, he lied to the investigators and tried to shift blame to Archive employees. Link

You couldn’t possibly have missed it; it was in all the papers.

Because a person engaging in criminal conduct such as that in engaged in by Mr. Berger would have a difficult time getting a job as a supermarket cashier, surely you, as the candidate, would have wanted to know the details surrounding his criminal conduct before bringing him into the campaign for a very important position.

No doubt, you asked questions such as, “Which documents did you steal? Did someone tell you to steal documents? If so, who? Why would you risk your reputation, your law license, your career and possibly jail time by doing such a thing?”

What did he tell you when you asked?

If you didn’t ask the questions, you damned well should have, if you wish to be seriously considered as a candidate for the presidency of the United States.

Then again, if you didn’t ask the questions, perhaps it’s because you already knew the answers. One could then reasonably conclude that Mr. Berger was hired as payback for keeping his mouth shut in 2004 and afterwards, in which case you should not be permitted to be a supermarket cashier, much less the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States and Leader of the Free World.

With loathing and contempt and a solemn vow to vote for anyone but you,

Jimbo

  3. As nice and as popular a guy as Fred Thompson is, I similarly wondered how he could choose a toe-jam like Spencer Abraham — who “refused to sign a letter calling on President Clinton to condemn Palestinian terrorism and Yasser Arafat…at the height of a series of bombings in Israel in 1999 and 2000” and “was a consistent advocate of large-scale immigration and worked relentlessly to lessen immigration controls and regulations” — to be his campaign manager. [source]

OTOH, it is Wikipedia, where “facts” have been known to be unattributed, sourceless, and unverifiable, so I could be mistaken. I’d sooner take my chances with Fred Thompson and his possibly dooshbag campaign manager, than the Evil Cankled Commie Hag and her Cretinous Kleptomaniac Boob of a Foreign Policy Advisor.

  4. I have said many times that I will never vote for Clinton44.

I do not care if she’s running against the combined incarnations of Iosef Stalin, Caligula, and Vlad Tepes. I do not care if the entire opposing platform is made up from Dr. Seuss rhymes and Wagnerian operas. I do not care if her Cabinet-level appointments leak as involving Weird Al Yankovic, Dusty Hill, and Daniel C. Dennett. I do not care if there is a man behind me with a big club, an evil grin, a tray full of non-sterile surgical implements, and severe sociopathic tendencies. (In fact, after voting for Clinton44, I’d welcome that. After tossing your ethical code out the window, what’s wrong with a lot of cruel and unusual punishment?)

Ambition is only to be expected at this level of politics. Yet in my memory, there is only one other Presidential aspirant to display an ambition so raw and naked as to defy any level of disbelief from anyone who is not already a supporter.

Clinton44 lost my vote the moment she formed a committee, and nothing sort of a direct commandment from God will change my mind. And even then, I’d need it repeated at least 10 more times, with associated plagues, before I went along with the plan.

Rudy wants to take my guns away. Fred doesn’t. Nuff said.

  8. imp, not at all. While I am no fan of the Muslims, I suppose I see nothing wrong with being one, so long as youse ain’t a commiebastid.

My problem is that Fred Thompson, who is running on a platform of tight border control, and defeating the terrorists, chose as his campaign manager someone whose personal platform runs 180 to that.

Still, I’d sooner a patriotic “Mooslime” than a scuzzbucket Jooish traitor like Tom Lantos any day.
