New Jersey Goes for McCain.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 8:07 pm

The polls were closed for about four minutes when New Jersey News (cable) called it for McCain.

I’m not surprised. One look at the state government, proves that the average New Jersey voter is about as stupid as a person can be and still manage to stand upright.

  1. I don’t know why I bother to vote. I haven’t been on the winning side of a vote in this state in at least eight years.

  2. I seem to always live in states where the general vote doesn’t go the way I want. I feel your pain.

  3. I wouldn’t judge the voters of NJ too harshly. After all, we here in New York have elected Hillary to the Senate twice, once as a blatant carpetbagger, and secondly as a total waste of representation determined to use her (rarely occupied) Senate seat as a platform for running for president.

Well, lets’s call it a draw.

BTW – for something a little different in the vodka department, try Zubrowka – Polish buffalo (bison) vodka. It’s kind of an acquired taste, but smooth. I think after this November, we’ll all be needed to knock back a few !

  4. last night was a barf fest. what the huck? i have to think some kind of voter fraud occured. are republicans just as stupid as democrats? apparently so.

i think i’m starting to understand how you’ve felt living and voting in jersey. the republican party: it’s still home, but it’s a severely dysfunctional home wrought with abuse.

  5. Watching the election returns last night, I was surprised to find myself rooting for & being gratified when Obama was ahead or victorious over Hillary in the State voting results as well as being sad when Hillary was crowned winner in them.

I was taken aback by my own dubious thrill in finding anything to cheer for or be happy about in the Democratic primary reporting as it roughly parallels whether you will be executed by being shot or hung.

As to the ignorance of voters…..Here in Erie our local bird cage liner producer “The Erie Times News” sent Reporters across the state line to a little village in New York called “Ripley” to interview voters. One giddy couple there proudly announced they “husband & wife” were for Hillary because of her record of achievement for the people in New York as a Senator. The last time I looked, the page for legislative effort & achievement by Hillary for the residents of New York was a blank piece of paper.

I had to swallow my impulse to refer to “Ripley as Dipley” because there are some good people there, they are not all stupid in Ripley, but enough of them are which allows a Marxist Socialist like Hillary to continue her Presidential quest.

Besides, if I can delude myself in finding some sense of enjoyment watching the struggle between Hillary & Obama , I guess it is OK for the village idiots of Ripley NY to vote for Hillary.

  6. I wanted Fred… didn’t even get a chance to pull that lever though. I won’t hillbillery or obama, but if those were the last to kids to be picked for the kickball team… I’m pickin’ the O to the H. IO… bad, I know, I couldn’t resist.

I’ll admit I don’t know much ’bout Romney, other than he strikes me as a used car salesman with some caish… and his religion isn’t necessarily the folks I like to see on the porch when I answer the doorbell. Huckabee… Hmmm.

    Who’s that leave?
