Getting Ready.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 9:06 pm

Tonight I will be assembling all the stuff that I will be bringing to Florida for the Usual Suspects’ invasion of the Sunshine State. Of course, this annual troop movement is no secret, so I was not terribly surprised to receive this video tidbit from Dave in Montana concerning a poor bastard who damned near got his farookin’ arm bitten off by an alligator while working on a goddamned golf course (in Florida, of course).

Knowing that such stories serve to propel my intestinal contents along at warp speed, Dave assured me that I could protect myself against such things by bringing along one of these.

Thanks, Dave. Feh!

  1. Dude… Chocolate Vodka! I’m tellin’ ya – don’t leave home without it. You see a Croc – just open the bottle and toss in his direction… no problem.

  2. Jimbo, it worked once – no reason not to think it won’t work again, right?

  3. Oh that’s just 30 minutes from my home!!! I still got this one beat though. They captured and killed a 12 footer in my neighborhood in January… had been trying to get it for 2 years. I read a breakdown a couple weeks ago about who gets what of the gator that are killed… who gets the meat, belts, shoes and… the claws are made into backscratchers. Heh.

  4. Just make sure you lock all doors behind you, since those things have a way of wiggling their lumpy asses into people’s kitchens. And youse bettah not forget to say goodbye to your friends before you leave, either.

  5. You might think about learning to use a chain saw while you are down here..I have it on good authority that in a fight with an alligator a chain saw prevails nine times out of ten..but of course the exception was some guy from New York who tried using an electric chain saw where there was no electricity..
