The Pepsi Obamanation.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jim @ 10:04 am

Have you seen this?

I cannot help but wonder if the marketing geniuses at Pepsi realize that 58 million people did NOT vote for The One and do not buy into his “Hope and Change” baloney. I wonder if the same marketing geniuses realize that many of those 58 million people used to drink Pepsi, but now will not spend one dime on the stuff.

I am one such person.

  1. Ew. Never liked Pepsi. Especially Diet Pepsi, which tastes like boiled socks. Or so I’m told. Buhbye Pepsi!

What a stupid, stupid, stupid marketing “strategy.” If I was a business carrying Pepsi products, I would get rid of it. As it is, my beloved Taco Bell is on my shit list for carrying Pepsi crap instead of Coke/Diet Coke. This makes it permanent. No more T Bell. They’ll rue the day.

  2. That’s from the same company whose CEO compared America to the middle finger.

  3. Hey, if you can sell the suckers a product that doesn’t contain anything more than “hope” and “change,” why not sell ’em some Pepsi while you’re at it. I can see my Pepsi stock going up already.

Personally, I buy the store brand cola, and mix it with cheap, pirate-grade rum. Cuba libre, soon, I hope.

  4. Well I guess I won’t be buying any Pepsi products anymore. I never did buy sodas, but now anything with the Pepsi brand is off.

Here’s the deal to all corporations… keep your products out of my politics and we can all play nice. Choose a side publicly and you can kiss my money goodbye.

    SEEEE YAAAA! Assholes…

  6. I can do Coke or Pepsi, but my wife is a Pepsi-holic. So I’ll be forced to continue to give them my business.

I’ll just refer to it as Obama-Cola, which could lead the wife to pick Dr. Pepper as a compromise.

  8. Don’t forget that Pepsico owns Frito-Lays. No more Doritos, Cheetos, or Sun Chips for you.

    Just Damn!

  9. Well dear old Abe Obama may be in for a shock when he figures out he doesn’t know shit. Pepsi will follow suit.

  10. This is a dilemna. If Tammi is with the company I am thinking, they are part of the Pepsi family. I do not buy pepsi now, but other brands in the family? I say as long as the new logo does not make it to their brands, I will stay with those products…

  11. I shall continue buying Manhattan Espresso Soda. Screw Pepsi and Coke.

  12. Well, Stouffer’s Microwavable Macaroni and Cheese better not pull any crap like this, or else I’ll go on a hunger strike. I’m personally blacklisting most moviestars and musicians nowadays, as it is, let alone Pepsi. No more Stevie Wonder, Kevin Spacey, or Barbara Streisand for me, although…I’m not ready to give up on Willie Nelson. I really need to sit down and think about that one. What do you think? He’s one of the greatest country music performers of all time, AND he’s a 9/11 “truther.” That, to me, is about akin to being a Nazi.

  13. I’m cheap and buy either Coke or Pepsi-whichever is on sale. No More! I will pay extra for Coke from now on!
And Erica, Willie Nelson is talented for sure, but has inhaled enough THC over the last 50 years to get half the country high. His Trooferism could be nothing more than a symptom of an elderly, drug-addled mind.

  14. Drink more beer. It is natural, it is a gift from God and doesn’t yammer on about hope and change in it’s advertising.

  15. I drink Stop and Shop creme soda with a little (hic) Kahlua mixed in for good measure…GOOD measure. Heh. I never touch Pepsi, much less drink it. Now, I won’t even look at it. Corporate asshats.

  16. I am continually amazed by people of the celebrity type and the corporations that think I could give a rip about what they think.

    Glad I drink Coke.

  17. Just become some marketing genius figured out how to sell a few pennies worth of sugar water for a dollar, doesn’t mean its worth buying. Especially when it rots your teeth, makes you fat, leqds to diabetes and cancer, or poisons you (in the case of sugar-free with aspartame). The only good part is the water, so that’s what I drink. I don’t need the other crap. Frankly I’m apalled there is a billion dollar industry whose sole product is bad for you. If the soft drink industry went out of business the world would be a better place, or at least healthier.

  18. Well, I DESPERATELY wanted to see the video this blog was referring to. (I just found this site today (Feb. 6)I viewed the Pepsi site, but was bombarded with a bunch if nimnals blurting about “refreshing Hope and Change!” What a crock of shit! I personally have not purchased a pepsi product since sometime before Jacko was mainstream, and this just reconfirms that I was Right (as in Correct and my political affiliation) all along!
