  1. Wow…never had heard that tune before. Good tune and perfect visuals to go with it. I liked it so much I just picked up “American IV: The Man Comes Around” on ITunes. I figured since I liked this tune plus I *love* Cash’s cover of “Hurt”, it’s worth it.

    Thanks for the tip!

  2. I have always loved the man in black. He has written some damn good, sad and true songs. Never be another one, Catfish

  3. Johnny Cash was a true artist. He had a way of taking any song and making it his very own. But this particular song is one of his own, inspired I believe by a line from a dream, in which Queen Elizabeth II tells Johnny, “The whirlwind is in the thorn tree.”

I grew up listening to my Dad’s LP of “Johnny Cash: At Folsom Prison”… still one of the best live albums ever recorded, in my opinion. I regret that I never did see the man perform live.

  4. You know this song is used for the opening title music for the “Dawn Of The Dead” remake, right?

Parkway Rest Stop offers up a lip-smacking slice of leftist hyperbole from The Village Voice, on what George W. Bush wants to do to Lady Liberty. Image here. (Hat tip to Velociman). But if you’re not a Kerry supporter, then…
